Global efforts to tackle Malaria suffered due to COVID19- WHO
The world is trying best to win over the malaria. The World Health Organisation taking various effective steps to control
the effect of this disease.
On 6th December 2021 WHO released the Global Malaria report for the year 2021.
As per the report the the Global efforts to control malaria suffered directly due to the spread of novel corona virus.
In 2020, world reported a total number of 627,000 deaths due to Malaria
which increases 12 percent in comparison to 2019.
Report says there are 241 million malaria cases were reported globally which was
only 227 million in 2019.
The two country that WHO classified malaria free in 2020 are China and EI Salvador.

Malaria disease caused by a parasite that infects a certain type of mosquito that is female which feeds on human
How is malaria transmitted?
People suffered from Malaria by being bitten by an ineffective female Anopheles mosquito.
Types:Thee are four kinds of malaria parasites
1.Plasmodium falciparum,
2.P. vivax,
3.P. ovale,
4.P. malariae.
