Kerala using solar lights to protect Sandalwood Forest :
Kerala government started an initiative to protect the sandalwood forest. To ensure the safety of this forest, the government has taken a unique eco-friendly step. Solar-powered lights in huge numbers have been installed inside the forest.
These lights help keep the forest illuminated even at night without the need for electricity. The government chose Marayoor and Wayanad forest areas on a primary basis.
As we all know, sandalwood is very costly and also called “green gold,” so these forests need more protection from smugglers and trespassers.
This initiative is appreciated by everyone and is a true example of eco-friendly nature protection.
