Odisha farmer cultivated dragon fruit in his farmland

Odisha: Kalahandi district has always set an example for agriculture. There you can find many different types of farming. Due to perfect climatic conditions, it has become the backbone of crop production.

Shocking to see that
Dragon fruit is cultivated in Bankel village under Madanpur Rampur block of Kalahandi district. Vaishnav Charan Sahu a farmer used to farm various types of vegetables and fruits on his agricultural land, but to do something different, he planned to plant dragon fruits.

He took training in dragon fruit farming and later in 2018, he brought fodder from there and started farming on his farm.With is six months he successfully cultivated dragon fruit. According to him, one tree has 20 to 30 fruits at a time. He grows more than 1.5 quintal of dragon fruit in his farmland and earned a good income.

People are very fond of this fruit. People come from far and wide to buy this fruit. This fruit is sold in large quantities due to its medicinal and protein properties. And because it is a different and beautiful fruit, people are also attracted to this fruit.
