World Lion Day 2022: Date, history, significance

World Lion Day is celebrated on 10 th August every year. The main aim of this event is to work for the protection of the king of the jungle.

The history of the day lies in 2013 by Dereck and Beverly Joubert

As we know that in the last two decade the populations of lion have dropped by more than 40%. The loss of biodiversity and ecological imbalance are directly affecting the fauna and flora.

Loss of certain kind of species can be found in the recent couple of years.In India the population of Asiatic lion in Gir forest has increased by 29%.

So the time has already arrived and we should have to work for the protection of the beats of the jungle that is the king lion.
