Things to Know about Elephant Nature Park
The Elephant Nature Park is a sanctuary situated in the Mae Taeng District of Northern Thailand. Here elephants are rescued and taken care of by the authority.
It was founded in 1990 by Sangduen. Since then this rehabilitation center is working for the protection of the elephants and also saving many jumbos.
This center not only provides a natural environment for the elephants but also provided a home to cats, buffaloes, dogs, and many other animals. As per the report, they helped more than 1500 elephants.
In 2005 founder of this sanctuary was named the Asian Hero of the Year by Time magazine.
