About the Bakhira Wildlife Sanctuary 

Bakhira Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over an area of 2,894 ha.

It is one of the largest habitats for migratory birds and become a Bird Sanctuary in the year of 1990.

There are more than 40,000 birds of nearly 30 species can be found in this Sanctuary.

Migratory birds from China and Siberia came to this sanctuary in the early winter season.

Not only birds it is also home to many amphibians, fish, mammals, and reptiles.

 It is declared as of the Ramsar sites of Uttar Pradesh on 2nd February 2022.
