How to Keep a Betta Fish Healthy – Betta fish or the Siamese fighter fish is the most preferable fish that people loves to kept them in their home. They can grow easily in an aquarium without any oxygen machine and requires less care than other fishes. But to make them fit and healthy one should take some pro-steps – which will help the fish to grow easily.

Providing a balanced diet makes the betta fit and healthy. But one has to take some extra care for betta fishes long lifespan.

Here are some of the steps one should follow:
Take a Perfect Size Aquarium: Always take a perfect aquarium as per the number of fishes you want to put. It will help the fish to get enough oxygen as per their need.

Decoration of Aquarium: Do not add an excess amount of decorative materials like plastic plants, stones, plastic dolls, etc. Make a free place so that the fish can swim easily.

Cycling Water: Add good clean quality water and measure the PH level. Remove water once or twice a week that will make the aquarium a healthy place to live. It will fulfill the oxygen demand of betta fish.

Clean the Aquarium: De-water the aquarium and clean it once or twice a week. Do not add detergent powders to it. If you are taking then clean it well otherwise the imbalanced Ph level may kill the fish.

Feeding: Feed the fish nutrient food that is easily available in the market. Do not add an excess amount of food. Providing a balanced diet makes the betta fit and healthy. As they are carnivores by nature try to feed them high protein diet or some krill, shrimp, and bloodworms.
