India has a total of 62 natural lakes and the largest lake (area wise) is Vembanad Lake which is situated in Kerala.
It’s a Brackish and Freshwater lake spread over 2033 square km area having a depth of 12 meters.
This lake is located in three different districts of the state. This lake also shores the popular destination, Kumarakom.
